I used a pressure washer, dishsoap, and kerosene to clean mine. I knew that the kerosene wouldn`t harm the wiring/electronics but I didn`t know what engine cleaners would do. Anyway I soaked it in kerosene for 15 minutes, pressure washed it off, soaked it in dishsoap for a while and pressure washed that off. It worked very well.

1. degreaser, pressure wash...
2. oven cleaner on tough grime, sit 1 minute
3. pressure wash
3. blast anything else off with brake/carb cleaner
4. bead-blast any stubborn spots/corrosion.

worked for me (not for block, but for waterpump, etc...

it may sound silly but scrubbing bubbles works great spray it on let it soak rinse off works great for engine detail also.....
after it dries spray everything with crc lube when that dries everything looks new...

We have replaced a multitude of tps and other sensors that were killed by pressure washers, just be careful where you aim those things.....most develop over 2000 psi and will force water into places you thought were "watertight".

very good point. I've accidentally removed all the grease from a wheel bearing with a pressure washer. be careful. an engine block is no prob tho.
