So where is this line coming off the motor? I have a '02 LS1. Is it the line on the bottom of the throttle body?

In stock configuration, the line comes from the passenger side of the throttle body. To get to the throttle body from the other side, there is a line that comes from a tube that runs from one head to the other. On older style LS1 intake manifolds, this tube also runs under the manifold where it runs between the heads at the back also. In the newer LS6 type manifold it only connects the heads at the front. There is a fitting on the tube with a hose that runs to the driver side of the throttle body. This routes coolant through the throttle body to warm it up to improve cold weather performance. For those that don't care about cold weather performance, many have by passed the throttle body and routed this line directly to the radiator or other suitable location mentioned above. Here is a link to LS1 How To where they talk about the Throttle Body By pass modification. http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=13 Hopefully reading that will make what I described clear.
