Default LS1 Wire question??

Im running my wire now and i came to a bump on the road. I have a 2000 LS1 with auto tranny in a 89 camaro. Now, on the C105 LS1 plug, C100 plug there are two wires for the PNK HOT IGN wire. Do i just use my one PNK IGN wire from the camaro and split it and use a bigger fuse? Im trying to get the car started this weekend. thanks

There should be 3 ign hot pink wires, C100 A and G both of which require an individual 15A fuse. And C105B which requires a 20A fuse. I would not recomment using your previous pink ign wire to power this unless it is set up to handle a 50A load, I would hook that wire up to terminal 85 of two automotive style relays, hook terminals 86 to ground, and hook both terminal 30`s to a constant battery source capable of supporting 50A (the easiest solution would be the stud on the back of the alt) Take your two ignition hot wires from C100 and wire each one to a 15A fuse, then wire the other side of the fuses to teminal 87 of one of the relays. Now wire C105 B to a 20A fuse and then to terminal 87 of the other relay.

The White 220 plug C feeds off the C105 B, so it does not need an IGN source. C220 C is a power feed to the switch for your TCC lockup.

Yeah, you should be able to use the factory computer power wires to power C101 E and G. You could go to the parts store and get standard bosch style 30A automotive relays and inline fuse holders. You could also hit a junkyard and buy an underhood fuse box from a midsize GM FWD mid 80`s to late 90`s car, that`s what I did, it had relays for my power sources, electric fans, fuel pump etc. It also had spots for probably a dozen fuses so I still have space in reserve. It is only probably 3in x 9in so it tucks in nicely.

There are an amazing number of great fuse and breaker panels at the wrecking yards. You can also grab relays with connectors and wires from factory harnesses. It is so much cheaper than going to the stealer or parts store.

I used an underhood fuse panel from a wrecked cadillac for my harness. Works perfect and was free.

No, the only one I ever did hands on was for my 5.3L into my El Camino. I have done a couple wire by wire hookups for other people to wire up their cars and then I posted them in the sticky. I was thinking of possibly going into electrical engineering, but I decided that I would rather be a pharmacist . I just know about the wiring because I can easily read wiring diagrams and GM is pretty good about standardizing their wiring colors and placement.

G-body!! Im still not sure about connector 220 Pin C???? So i DO NOT TOUCH!!! If not then why is it there?? Someone told me to connect pin C,D to my purple brake switch on my 89 camaro? I know i need to connect Pin D, but i didnt know Pin C as well.. Could you clear this up for me? Also too, how do you hook up the OBDII ALDL connector? There seems to be only one wire that goes to it which is Connector 230 Pin K?? What else is missing? Thanks again

Heres the someone lol. 220 C will be power for the switch, 220 D sends it to the tranny. When you hit the brakes, the switch interrupts power and unlocks the torque converter.

220 K is the serial data feed to the OBDII connector. To communicate with the PCM, you need 220K,+12V and 2 grounds.

Here is a good thread to use for the OBDII connector. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/239582-problem-obd-port-not-communicating-after-engine-swap.html
