Default Speed sensors (VSS) on transfer cases???

I'm doing the 6.0L 4x4 4L80E & NP241 T-case Swap on a K5 Blazer.

I'm almost there, but I need some info. I need to know the pulse rate of the VSS on an NP241 transfer case and that of one of the newer cases that come in the silverado's denali's escalade's etc. Speartech did my wiring but they gave me the rear connector on the 4L80E which I can't use. It's suposed to be for use on a 2wd 4L80E but since 4x4 4L80E's don't have a VSS there I have to use the one on the NP241 case I have mounted behind it. As long as the pulse rates are the same I should be alright???

Did the NP241 you are using come with the 6.0? If so then it would already be set up for what you need. But since you are asking, I would have to assume that it is an earlier case. Regardless, you are looking for a 40 pulse/revolution signal. None of the VSS adapters do this, they are 2 or 4 pulse per rev. Check out this link to a JTR VSS Document. It should give you some ideas.

I can never get a clear answer from looking at that. some of the VSS configuration years overlap so what kind of setup do I have in my case???

If it's a NP241 with a VSS then you should be alright. You may have to switch the reluctor ring and sensor to the 40 tooth if it doesn't have it already. Just check and see whitch pick-up it has. then get the right connector

Sounds good, I'll count the teeth on that thing this weekend.

I counted the teeth and it looks like 40 so I should be OK. Thanks for the input.
