I think a set of these would go nice with the black truck. What do you think?
Yes those would look great with the matching front wheels in gold!

That thing looks great! One of the best project I have ever seen. This winter I am doing a Minitub on the Nissan with a Ford 9". Where did you learn to tub and setup that 9"? I am clueless when it comes to american rear ends... but learning. Great job, it would be awesome if I could stop by and check that thing out, I only live right in Detroit across the bridge. Going to see the Fireworks tonight? -Alex

Slo_240sx...... you're going to want to know about S&W racecars then. www.swracecars.com. check out their rear suspension components, you can get anything you need from them to build a 4 link rear end. As for the fireworks tongiht...I don't think so, it looks like it going to be rain tonight. I will have my truck over in Detroit very soon though. I'm bringing it to Stenod perfomance to have my roll cage installed.

I'll keep you posted, and maybe you can check it out when its over there.

Did you build your own cage or buy one pre made?

I'm going to have one fabricated from scratch. I want it done real nice. I would like to keep all the bends nice and tight to the inside of the cab, and I want it made from chromoly. So I'm bringing my truck to Stenod performance in Detroit to have my work done. Everything else I have made, but in this case, I can't weld chromoly, so i'll have it professionally done.

I know of S&W race cars since I bought my roll cage from them Stenod does AMAZING work. Here is a friend from another Metro Detroit Forum Talon they did a cage on. The fabricator is a master mind there. Nice choice.

I was going to buy all the stuff from S&W, but really dont know how to setup and chop 9"s... Looks like I am going to have to do major homework. Thanks, I didn;t go to the fireworks either.

A lot of S&W's 4 link setups are already together...you just have to put 'em in. There is a little bit of welding involved....but I was impressed with S&W's quality. Everything I have recieved from them fit awesome the first time.

Default Update!

Got the rear window removed now, and I'm almost ready for moday when the Dime goes to Stenod performance to have the cage installed.

here's a few pics.

Cleaning the excess glue off the truck was the worst part! lol!

Hopefully by next week I can get some roll cage progress pics!

And slowly but surely I'm still collecting engine stuff. Here's the latest in things that are coming together for the engine.

Truck is now gone and at the babysitters..... But its ok, Stenod Performance is taking care of the dime for a few weeks. Truck should have a nice 10 Pt. cage in it when I get it back!

A few pics of the Dime. Coincidentally, this is the fastest my truck will go in the next year or so!! LOL!

ok..I have some catching up to do with this thread. Cage is in now, but the next thing is to tie up some loose ends on the interior and get the brakes finished. Dash is now fitted in snugly, and a few parts have arrived!!

The S&W setup is sweet! Fit great, and was well put together... I highly recommend them.

Default s&w

I had an s&w ladder bar rear subframe under my 87 and loved it. That was the best investment I ever made. It is a great fit. I like the way your truck looks, it seems to be coming along nicely. The cage fits very snugely to the roof, I like. What are you planning on doing to the motor? Turbo setup? Big shot of gas? Just curious.
