Default C6 instument cluster in older car

Anyone here know if this could be done? I havent looked at the schmetics yet but I have everything. BCM, interior harness,gauges. My car is 2002 ls1 wiring. These gauges look SSSOOO good and I'm tired of autometers. What do ya'll think?

The internals of the C5 and C6 dashes are nearly identical so the same issues apply to both.

ive acutuall seen in an old GTO, the whole interior inclding the dash console and seats swapped into it, malibu id loved to check out the progress on your car man, where in college station is it?

The car is at my home. I just got through cutting the crossmeber for more oil pan clearence. Once I get the motor back from LME I will be making headers. What do you drive?

is the cluster controled by the serial data bus? (im sure it is on a C5, and can only assume it is on a C6) if so, the older cars are VPW and the newer cars, C6, are CAN, so you will need to figure out what engine controler you use to work with the gauges, or swap to C5 guts.

the engine is ls1 and the pcm is 2002. But i can make it anything to make it work. Just dont know excatly what to get.

im trying to get a 98 f-body ls1 to work with a c5 cluster. Im pretty sure the oil pressure come from the serial bus in the c5 computer and I dont think there is any way to get it to work without the vette computer. Course the vette computer program is setup for a drive by wire so its not just a matter of swapping pcms. Fuel gauge is up in the air. I think temp and alt will work though. Speedo and tach should also work
