Do I need a specific PCM??
I do see a few of issues with using the C6 cluster, though. First is the fuel level gauge. There are two fuel level sending units (one for each tank) and I don't know of anyone that has successfully made it work. Second is there will be numerous idiot lights on the cluster for things like ABS, Traction Control, etc. And finally there will be numerous error messages stored and displayed on the text display because of lack of communication with the other electonic modules from the C6. Most if not all of the gauge information comes via serial data from the PCM. There was another guy trying to get a C5 cluster to work, so do a search and see what comes up.

If you use the ABS, than you have to use the traction control and the Active Handling since it is the same computer. I looked into this quite a bit and decided not to do it for several reasons. First and foremost, your car is not a C5/6 and you do not have the same weight, weight distribution, center of gravity, wheel base, track width, suspension geometry, etc. These are all factors that are programmed into the Active Handling/Traction control system.
If you could at least match the C6's weight distribution and use stock sized C6 tires and match your steering ratio to a C6 and placed all the sensors such as yaw rate and latera accerlation sensors in just the right places, then maybe it could work. But probably what would happen is the moment you start to drift the computer would compensate for a C6 and you would end up in a ditch. Some C5 owners that have installed racing seats and disturbed one of the sensor have complained of problems with the system. It is pretty picky.
You also cannot reprogram anything on a C5/6 except for the PCM. The algorithms for the ABS and Traction Control are programmed into the EBTCM and some of the error codes are programmed into the Instrument Cluster itself.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade, its just after reasearching the ABS/TC/AH system, I believe it is dangerous to install it on a different car than it was intended for.
