What is everyone doing for power steering hoses?
Russell Performance has everything you need. If your local Part shop can't get it for you. You can order from SummitRacing, Jeg's or any of the online Sponsor stores that you use. I assume that any of the other manufactor of AN and SS hose will have the same adpters, fitting and hoses, but the Teflon one is the key for the High side pressure (the Russell hose is rated at 2,500 PSI)
Adpters needed (depending on your steering box fitting size, If your usinga meter box, you can do the resarch then..sorry)
-6 AN to 16.mm x 1.5 O-Ring Adapter (high pressure side pump) = 648060
-6 AN to 5/8" flare Adpater = 640380 (steering box)
-6 AN to 11/16" Flare Adapter = 648050 (Steering box)
The Flare adapter are the same as Carb adapters!
-6 AN SS / Teflon line hose = 632600 for 3 feet
and the normal AN -6 fitting (Straight, 45 or 90's) as you require to route.
For the low pressure side, you can either use the SS Teflon Braided hose (if you order more than you need for the High Pressure side), Normal Low Pressure power steering hose or any SS braided hose with good clamps or AN look hose end clamps to keep the look.
You can also connect the cooler inline as everyone is now talking about or just run a piece of tubing under the radiator/frame from one side of the car and back. This is inline with the low pressure side before it returned to the pump.. This is what the factory does on my 84 Z28 for a little extra cooling. Cheap cooler !

I did talked to the Russell phone tech to get info and verify.. I am going to pickup or order the parts late next week and put it together..(i hope, busy weekend and holiday coming),... I will post if all worked out or you can first!
L8er !
sorry, have not worked on the car much, was in Reno for Hot August Nights, also been on Vacation, Camping, 4x4, water skiing... u know.. the summer time stuff.
But those are the correct part for the High pressure side. I was able to get that done.
For the low presure side I have not work yet, but it seem that Teflon line hose is a bit smaller or a very tight fit on the return side of the pump/reservior, I am going to see if it will push on with out too much force.
I had a set back, startup the engine and had either low or zero oil pressure, so I have taken out the engine to remove the pan and check eveything out (going to install a new O-Ring, oil pump and filter).
