1955 56 57 Conversions Post here
What temperature is your LS1 running at, in cool weather, driving at 55mph?
Do you have it plumbed traditionally (hoses straight to and from heater), or with some sort of bypass in the pressure side to the suction side near the water pump?
If you have a bypass, what are you using/how are you doing it?
Did you have to do anything in particular to get the engine to run warm enough in cool/cold weather to provide heat at the heater?
Does you engine warm up fast?
Thanks

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Discovered the fuelrail covers do not clear the AC pump without lots of cutting and the other side does not clear the vacuum booster on the mastercylinder.

I picked up an '03 Corvette LS1 and a 4L60E tranny. I also got a harness and computer. I am just trying to figure out EXACTLY what pan and motor mounts I need to get this thing installed!
I remember too, that someone mentioned that the ign coils have to be relocated.
How far is it ment to be say on the LH side head to fire wall?.The thing is for me its harder to get the bits for the conversion like pipes and things as my 55is Right hand drive.
Im from Australia.

A friend of my fathers has a MINT but apart 1955 Chevy 150 2 dr sedan. This car has been setting in a garage from about 1958 or so. He blew up the original engine and started to install a new over the counter 348 engine it was the largest engine GM had at the time. The front clip was removed and part of the firewall has been massaged for clearance. He then sold the 348 and bought a new L88-M22 muncie for this car. Sometime in the 70's or 80's he decided to go with a 350 targetmaster and the M22 which is still setting in the car. When we looked at the car I noticed he was using the original front engine mounts (not the sides) and the rear mount on the trans.
This car has ZERO rust, still has all of the original paint, Pink with the white top
. Talked with him about selling the car, it is not for sale for any price. He said when he decides to get rid of it, it is mine for free

The car was sold new in Dallas and is still close by. Never has seen salt or snow has not even been wet since it was parked
