dumb question? ls1 in exotic car?
The Ferrari is only a 3.5 liter v-8 so it doesn't have near the weight spinning around inside the block like an LS1, also the Ferrari doesn't have near the torque.
The whole project would've been an engineering miracle if it had actually worked. I had it well thought out, but in the end it would've been an extreme task and I dropped the whole idea.

Yes, such a swap would probably devalue the Ferarri, but I'd bet that with a strong enough transaxle and the right gear ratios it would be a damn sight more fun to drive. Europeans don't seem to have discovered TORQUE yet.

Really? Never seen one. Seen lotsa fiero kit cars dressed like 308s with small block chevy engines though.
a couple of guys put LS1s into 1980s 911 wide bodies. there was a guy talking about putting an LS1 into a Viper.
if you were to do that, you should de stroke a motor, so it revs really high and dosent produce as much toruqe, thus saving those delicate european transaxles and transmissions
