Default Steering problem, anyone help?

I just installed my newly rebuilt turdgen box in my Camaro, after rebuilding it, painting it, torquing my steering arm nut to 200 ft/lbs swimming in red loctite (oh no, you might say.) Yup! Problem here. check it out.. anyone know a solution that doesnt involve me pulling out the pipe wrench again?

top one's my steering arm. I'm not swapping steering boxes, this thing kicks butt. gonna party, er, steer, like it's 1992.
any help appreciated.

I think i need to just go buy one from vatozone, with a ball joint on it. Now that I think about it, that'll be the easiest solution.

nope, bolts right in. More than twice as fast as my 6 turn turd of a manual box. Oh, and the lines from the 4th gen LS1 p/s pump thread right in. bitchin, huh?

You have the wrong Pitman arm, do a search on the P/T website, I posted the number you need, and AutoZone might not be the place to get it!

You'll also need a new rag joint to use a 3rd gen (or late-2nd gen) box. Pre-77 Saginaw 800 boxes have a 36 spline 13/16" input shaft, later have a 30 spline 3/4" input shaft. I think I read last week that the first gen manual box had a 3/4" input shaft but different splines, so you may need a new rag joint if you're converting from that too.
