Hmm. I was checking out the different oil pans available and was wondering if the Caddy CTSV pan will fit the Gbody chasis? The front is about 1/2" thicker than the fbody pan, but the deepest part is further back than the fbody pan even though it angles downward toward the deep section. Could this be used for a gbody? hmm...has anyone tried it?

I am using one on my Chevelle Swap.. search on "CTS-V oil pan" and you should find my post and others along with some pictures.
The CTS-V pan is about 1.25" lower but shorter from front to back which gave me more room around the X-Member.. one problem is that the transition from the front slump to the lower slump many come in contact with the X-Member if you try to drop the engine too low. There are detail in my posts and threads.

Thanks! Hmm.... I wonder how the pan would fit with JohnB's motor mounts in a G-body?
I really haven't seen anybody use this pan in a g-body, curious to know if it would fit.
