Default Throttle Cable Linkage/ '66 El Camino

Question for you LS conversion people:

Dropping the motor/trans (LS1/T56 '04 GTO donor) in the '66 Elky next weekend - one of the open issues I still have is what to do for the throttle cable linkage. S&P recommends the Lokar setup with pedals - does anybody have this set-up? I was going to try to use the GTO pedals if possible.

Does anybody have recommendations or pro's vs. cons with their set-up's? If possible, include pics.

Also - anybody have recommendations for the trans crossmember?

I've spent a lot of time on this board (not so much posting, a lot of reading), but I have taken a break for a couple of years. My wife and I now have 2 little girls added to our family, a 2-year old and a 6-month old! Daddy needs a little therapy and the car project is back on!!!

Thanks in advance for your help people - this is a great site.

Tony

I used the lokar cable with the stock throttle pedal and it works fine. Was easy to install too.

LS1MCSS - can you post pictures of your setup - and if possible how the cable attaches to the stock assembly?

I was able to use the factory truck cable in my swap. I had to enlarge the hole in the firewall slightly and bend the pedal a little to take up slack. But other than that it snapped right in. You might want to see if you can use factory stuff, it was very easy to do on my car.

I'll try, but not sure I can get one where it attaches to the pedal assy.
