Question Serpentine Belts? One Better Than The Other?

I'm getting some rubber dust coming off my "Dayco - PolyCog" brand of belt. Is this the best belt brand to use on an LS1, or is there a better brand/type? Curious as to what everyones preference is? Is it possible to have it adjusted too tight, as I suspect mine might be? Thanks in advance, Gar

you might have a misaligned pulley.

Dust is the first sign of a slipping belt. Get a goodyear Gatorback Belt and your worries will be gone.

Agreed, I manage a parts store so I know my belts I would check the alignment of all pullies, the PS pully is a typical problem if it's not pressed on correctly. After you make sure your aligned and tensioned properly toss a Goodyear on it and be done. I stock Dayco at work, but when I need belts personally I order in a Goodyear. Good luck
