Those aren't for an LS1, but even if they were, I doubt it. The down stream flange would probably have to be closer to the block.

Like the other person pointed out they aren't for a LS1 but even if they were that won't work on the 240 for the flange will most likely have it exit right where the steering shaft is or the rack itself. That rear steer makes for alot of exhaust fun.

Hey i have a few questions! What manifolds did you use? I am doing my LS6 swap into a s13!

Also icantdrift are you interested in making me some engine mounts? I got a hinson tranny mount for a good deal, so i am using that, just need some engine mounts made.

Also anybody ever use the painless wiring harness?

I would start a new thread, but it seems all the people i need to see my questions are in this thread.

4 months left here, damn i am going to miss most of the season this year....

Thanks
Ax

They are C5 Manifolds from '97 to '00 (don't know exactly on the years they started doing the cast manifolds) Vettes. Just make sure before you buy them that they send you pics and they look like these where they have been welded together:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...s/100_0346.jpg

Don't quote me on this but I'm wondering if the '97 to '99's have a longer tube on the bottom and curve more on the collector area. When I get these '00's ones that I just bought from a guy then I'll know for sure on that though.

I got my first set of manifolds for the price of shipping which was $18, this last set I got (wanted a spare set around for maybe another exhaust set up) I got for $40 shipped so that gives you an idea of what you can get them for.

HTH!

I'm just bought them for a future project that I might be working on. If you go over to corvetteforum.com and go in the parts for sale section you'll find some in there you can guy from people normally.

That link above is of stainless ones. They were only used for like the first two years 97-98 of the C5. You can tell by the weld bead on the side. They are double walled to retain heat to help light off the cats.

Gm went to cast (I think in 99) because the construction cost was way cheaper, but you don't want those (even though they look very similar), because you can't weld them.

tell me about it...i was thinking about putting a CA in my 89 hatch...but then i realized that an LSX would be much cheaper and deliver more bang for the buck

Yes not cheaper, but way worth it. Depends what you do to the engine etc.

I know this is a little bit of a resurrection, but you guys are using the stock exhaust manifolds from a 97 or 98 C5 with no problems?

I am beginning research on this swap, and all I want is stock LS1 power.

Thanks,
Luke

PS: Atm looking at using Hinson mounts with GTO pan.

Well, they need to be cut and modified to fit and make them work in the S13/S14 but that's why you get the '97 to '99 C5 Manifolds for they are made of steel and can be cut and welded. Just make sure they are the ones that are made of steel and not the cast iron ones before you get them.

I'm going to start researching this, but do you have any suggestions of where to look for specific information? I'm going to be daily driving this car, so solid mounts aren't an option.

That all makes sense. It seems that starting with stock headers and modifying them would be the most cost effective way to complete the exhaust system.

Check out the corvetteforums for on there you can find guys with C5's sometimes, if you make a post looking for manifolds for free, that and you'll have to do is pay them shipping to get them.

In regards to the mounts do a search for 240sx in this section and you should find a few different options of how you can do your motor mounts. I went solid on mine so you'll want to skip my thread! It's not as bad as you'd thihnk though but then again I don't daily drive my car and haven't driven it too much yet.
