Problem solved. LS1 with C5 PCM first start up
I know this has been a long time coming for me but I finally got my LS1 swap running. Let me make this clear I am using a 99 and up C5 PCM with the DBW. All I did was re-pin my 98 C5 harness to the 99 and up and plug it up and it ran. This means there is something in the 98 PCM that you can't disable to enable the fuel without all the missing modules. If you don't believe me try it yourself. Here is a video.

you going to use the vette gauges in the final project? personaly i think they are some of the best looking gauges out there because of their 3D offests
CopCar,
Yup my motor sits far back and really low compare to the JCI setup. This is why I got the luxury of leaning my radiator back and allow the stock C5 air intake duct to go over it. IMO it looks awesome like that comparing to all rubber hoses taking up all the engine spaces. I also plan to use the C5 gauge in my car.
Thanks guys.

Now I got no DTC for the PCM or IPC. Just got that annoying Check Tire pressure message on the DIC. Earlier I got 2 DTCs for my PCM and they are P1637 and P1638. They are both related to the alternator. I have a 91-93 Honda Accord alternator in my car (that's the only thing that fit into the space) and I had to run an extra ignition wire to it for it to work properly. I still get the Reduce Engine power when I turn the key on at the beginning but I see my odometer is moving and it doesn't put my motor in limp mode. So I think it's OK now. I also got some good news from KP1force that he got his 99 C5 LS1 swap running as well. So there are 3 of us from Ls1 that I know running witht he C5 PCMs and they are all 99 and up. Kp1force also uses the C5 instrument cluster.
SilverZ98,
Yes it is running on all 8. I have only 1 O2 sensor hooked up on the driver side that's it and I might have a vacumn leak too so that's why it sounded like that.
88s10,
Are you using the C5 98 PCM also? I've been playing/experimenting with my 98 C5 PCM and it just won't work. Either with or without the BCM. I even tried to hook up the ABS/TCS module and it still won't work. I fed up with it and so I tried the 99 and up PCM. Just because I just found out that StuCool is running with a C5 PCM. lol.
Thanks for the comments guys. I still got plenty of work ahead. Time to get back to work.
