Default Proud & Happy new owner of an LS1/6spd Notchback! (Mustang)

Hey all.......

well, i'm back in an LS1 powered vehicle again, and i couldn't be happier!!! i just bought LX1's old car on here yesterday. it's an ls1/6spd FOX body Notch. i'll be swapping a lot of parts over from a Notch roller i've had sitting around for a while, and swapping the manual trans over to a 3 spd auto. it's pretty tame now, running 12.5's on street tires babying it out of the hole, but ultimately i'd like to run well into the 11's with the stock longblock, mid 10's with a head/cam pkg, and eventually 9's on spray. here's 2 pics of it for now for those who don't know the car......

Default Nice ride!

That's a bad *** ride dude! I may have to do that with my Notchback when the 5.0 dies on me. How hard was the swap?

Congrats.
I once new a guy with a twin turbo notchback project. Unfortuantly he was never able to finish it, but it would have been cool! If you want know how to go fast for cheap, Give me a buzz sometime and I can tell you about another project I am doing for a buddy. You might be interested in doing the same.

it's all GM except for the rear which is listed below in my sig. it's an 8.8 with 33 spline axles (overkill...bought off a turbo DR guy), spool, 4.56's going in now, etc. may need to narrow it to fit the MT 325/50/15's going on. swapping from the current '03 Cobra 13" rotors to '99 rotors so i can put my skinnies on.

i've only had the car for about 5 months now, sitting most of the time. right now i just started doing a carb conversion over the weekend and some other stuff. i don't really have any other pics other than the conversion i'm doing now so here's 2 pics...

As i got it.....

Today...

i'm keeping the 6 speed because i want to drive the car regularly.

factory wiring harness was used, '99 harness & computer i was told but i don't know how to verify the serial #. i'll be selling that if you're interested. almost every lead is tagged. it's already bundled up, boxed and ready to go. pm me if interested.
