Default ls1 lt1 t56 differences?

What all is needed to use a t56 from an lt-1 on an ls-1 engine?
is it just the bellhousing? or are there other differences?

Add the front plate and input shaft and I think that is it but I maybe wrong.

The bellhousings are not the same. The only difference other than the
clutch setup is the front plate of the transmission and the input shaft.
Normally you can change just those for around $500 in parts plus labor.

This is what I was told directly from T56rebuilds.com

any of you lt-1 guys wanna swap parts with me? thats my lt1 bellhousing, input shaft and front plate for your ls1 parts.
that would be convenient

I would be better to sell your LT-1 T56 and buy a LS1 T56 ...

I have a t56 for a LT1 and would like to trade it for a LS1 if anyone is in the SW Washington State or NW Oregon area. I removed it from a 62000 mile 1996 Z28.
I have the same issue. I started with a LT1 and have changed my mind on the motor. I was hopeful I could at least use the M6. I can change out the shaft and bellhousing if I need to. Sounds like a lot of work. Any takers?
Also have the LT1 motor for sale.,
