Default Vega getting closer but have PCM Question

My L92 stroker has been done for a while now but Im getting closer with the rest of the project leading to its first start.

I have my speartech custom harness on its way to my house now so my question is what 24x PCM should I be looking for? Is there a year or version that is better then others?

Any opinons? I'm not very versed with stock PCM's

Thx everyone

Default

The 24X PCM is the older style LS1/LS6 PCM. The LS7`s and LS2`s have started using 54X crank triggers. The 97-98 PCM is the really old style computer which has less aftermarket tuning support, is slower, and has different pin locations. I`m not sure exactly when they started using the new 54x PCMs, I think it was different years depending on what model car. I would think that you would be looking for a PCM from a 99-02 f-body, or a 99-2003? truck.
