Good luck on your swap. I thought you were about hopes and dreams so I really didnt reply to much of your IMs lol. You got a steal for that car but only if that engine runs! Either way you got some good progress going, I was really quick doing my swap.

found out today that my block is a 99+ by reading the "241" castings and noticing the valve covers are the center bolt style so that made my day brighter. ill be pulling it apart tomorow and mountning it on my stand. things to be replaced are the stock cam and valve train with a HPE-S cam and proper valvetrain, ported oil pump and arp rod bolts, of course along with new rod and crank bearings. i think that will be sufficient to get high 11's on motor on street tires. not to concerned about it running or not since ive never put a motor into a car i didnt rebuild prior, witness run before hand or had a warranty on the motor like my sr20.
ill post more pics and stuff tomorow since im off from school/work.

ok small update pics. i started pulling the motor apart to find out what all needs replacing from the water i found earlier :/. so far everything looks mechanically ok just dirty. ill pull the heads tomorow or sometime this weekend. the rain is killing my work time.
valley plate is covered in this **** from all the water that basically SAT under the manifold. had this on my sr20, no big deal.
intake ports are a bit oily so i would assume leaky seals somewhere or worn rings. valvetrain looks fine but its getting replaced in favor of the HPE cam.
all is well. as long as i dont find a hole in the block or warped/cracked sleeve im A OK
its pretty obvious this bad boy needs a bath, so stay tuned while i rebuild it and give it the TLC it deserves
