I have been looking for a supra body, cant find one cheap enough.Wanted to do a LS1 TURBO SET UP.It would make a lot of people mad.My friend just had his supra built in FLA.It cost him $18.000 for about 600hp.(preowner of the LS1 240sx Green/black TEAMSPANK)

i have seen a guy over here with a SBC engined supra but that was the Mk3 i think (boxy one). the toyota quad cam V8's are very good! they have very strong bottom ends from the factory! also a guy dropped on in a ultima GTR in sweedan, with a set of pistons he was making nearly 1000bhp! very nice indead!

thanks Chris.

There is also word of a Supra in Hawaii with an ls1 swap. Apparently he blew his 2j and threw in an ls1 with spray.

Ranger, from SF? I remember Cedric mentioning the ls1 car. He said he was going to try to talk to the owner, but I haven't heard anything since.
If you are in Iraq now, thanks and stay safe.

Do it!!!
Yea, that R34 TT LSx was siiiickness.
Why the hell not in a supra indeed? It's not like these cars are freakin sacred.
It'd freak the **** out of supra convention or a non-domestic gathering. Their heads would explode seeing a supra, but hearing a v8.

So we're tossing around ideas. I figured that buying an entire LS1 drivetrain for 3K is a lot cheaper then the Supra equivalent, and it would be cool.

If you're looking for a good start, I have a 20K mile LS1 complete for 2G's.

I wish I could jump on that, sounds like a great deal. I'll have to wait a few years until I can afford a motor and everything.

I wouldn't I kind of think it is a stupid idea myself. For as much as Supra's are selling for, I would just sell it to be honest. RX-7 swap LS1 pretty much rule the world!

You better go with a Radical setup if some one plans on doing it, and that skyline isnt just a LS1, its a fully built cutom TT car.......

Notice people using Lexus V8s in supras are making HUGE power, and wanting better power bands......

And it doesnt cost alot at all to get a supra to 600whp....If it does well your just a shop *****

Supras weigh around what a Fbody does, so throwing in a LS1 and camming it would be a big waist of time

Hardtop Supras weigh less and they have an iron block and turbos (+intercooler, etc) to push around.
There are a fair amount of people interested in having more torque, as well as a lighter, better handling car. It wouldn't be a waste to anyone (especially road racers) other than highway kings.
