Default LS1 coilpacks/loom/brackets- suppliers?

I'm after a full set of o.e / suitable replacement coil packs/brackets/plug leads and wiring loom for a 2001 ls1, as the engine i'm buying comes minus those parts. can anyone recommend a supplier who might ship to the UK or where i may get them from ?
thanks
chris

I got a 5.3 that had some cracked coils, I ended up buying them off ebay. The only other place I know of to get coils would be aftermarket msd coils (lots of $) from someone like summitracing.com

eBay is the first place I'd look.

look for them in for sale section, i saw some the other day for $125. just make sure that you get the coil mouting bracket and bolts too, no sense in trying to track down those impossible parts when you can buy them all together.

cheers , found a few sellers on ebay now. one question i have tho is about the actual engine loom that hooks up to the coil packs, cam sensor etc, is that a seperate loom to the usual main car loom?

i'm going for the msd ignition pack and manifold (edelbrock no 7118) and i dont know if it needs the stock engine loom to hook into as well as needing the coil packs etc. i've emailed edelbrock tech help for advice on that though unless someone else knows already?

All you need is the coil pack wiring harnesses. The Eldebrock kit comes with the wire looms that plug into the other sensors plus both coil pack harnesses.

Default coil packs

I have a set of truck coils (triangle shaped) in great condition and the brackets, they hook up just the same. GM had 3 different shape coils as they used 3 different vendors. They all have the same internals just the outside shape is different. One is round, one triangle shape and one rectangle shape for the camaro.

Make me an offer if interested.
thanks

I ended up using LS2 coils because they're smaller. Got my loom modified by Speartech. Maybe see if he can hook you up with the wiring looms you need.

I take it that it doesnt matter if the coils come from and ls1/ls2 etc and are fully interchangeable?
it does look as though the MSD ignition pack mentioned comes with the harness i need to kook up at the coil packs so i just need to ensure i get the coils/brackets/wiring for coils and i should be ok.

Not exactly... the LS2 coils have the same connecters at the coil but not where it plugs into the harness or vise versa - can't remember but I thought there was a difference. Ask Speartech!

from what i understand from information given by people the msd ign loom is long enough to plug direct into the main connector on the coil brackets, so i'd hope that is the same connector on the ls1 or ls2 coils?
who/what is speartech and how do i contact them please.?
cheers

Truck and Corvette / Camaro etc. have different coil connectors (at the coil end). Both are 4 pin, but the truck ones are much smaller in size.

Quick Reply: LS1 coilpacks/loom/brackets- suppliers?
