I was thinking of doing it, but the cost of the RWD conversion kit was very expensive, not to mention not knowing if it would even work or not...

Sports Car Revolution was having Sean Hyland (*barf*) turn a BLUE 2dr into a v8 RWD car.

i talked to a ford engineer that said the rear drive focus kit was not well done. i'm sure you would be much better off with a proper chassis for your swap. there are plenty out there to chose from...

the focus swap isn't too bad. The car is sold with an AWD option in Europe, so the chasis already has a driveshaft tunnel and provisions for a factory rear differential.

This old site will give you an idea of the work involved for the Ford motors. Check out the suspension.

Didn't they build one of these that gave a Lambo a run for its money on a road course? Only problem is the Focus was having overheating issues and could only do 2 or 3 laps at a time.

Since when ?

Ford have never built/sold a road going 4wd Focus in the UK, or Europe.

I worked for ford and we tested a both a mod motor and sbf powered rwd focus for multimatic motorsports. They were fixing some handling issues that the kugel kits had

Not in real life.

Ive seen their white rwd Focus, and seen another dark blue Focus at santa Pod when I was there a few weeks ago.
Very nice car, I think it was featured in a few mags lately.

It says the one that they used did not require narrowing.
