+1 for the buying an entire car for the swap. If you must keep the 2000 v6 car, buying a donar car is the way to go. Trust me..by the time you get all the wiring you need, and all the little brackets and all, you will be so glad you had an entire car to take parts from. Fuel lines, wiring, brackets...you have it all. And it will all just transfer over to teh v6 just as you took it apart.

A budget of 4500 will never happen. Sorry... Espeically if you want LS6 status. Ill bet, if you dont buy a donar car, and you get a motor and tranny for anywhere near $4500, you will atleast spend another couple grand easy on little parts. Like mentioned above...the nuts and bolts of the swap is what kills you. Couple hundred here, couple hundred there, and before you know it your budget is out the window. IF you find a donar car, and can get it for around $4500....then you are in there. I have seen donar cars go cheaper than that...but not often. If they are, they are usually so bad you cant get everything you need.
