Try this place...they've put an LS1 in a truck and sell the conversion parts. If nothing else they'll know what you are up against.

I'll be doing an LS1 Sonoma soon...

I started to do some research on this for my '72.
I just wasn't ready to do the whole haness and computer integration piece. The Hotchkiss Camaro has been featured in several of the magazines, but that is a crate LS1. Go to CamaroZ28.com in the classic section. I know of at least one person who has done this. He's even considering selling a kit to put the t56 in w/o the hydraulic stuff.

I can always help with any of the wiring and/or electrical end of it, if you need it.

I would highly endorse Speartech Fuel Injection Systems, Inc. www.speartech.com for your harness needs. John reworked my stock F-body wiring harness and it was very simple to re-install with everything labeled properly and once I got the right size fuse in the car, fired right up without incident. And the best part was that this saved me close to $500 over the over priced new harnesses from places like S&P, etc.

I'm looking into doing just this into a 67 camaro, only thing i'm worried about are getting custom motor mounts done, noticed the Hotchkis ls1 2nd gen had some done, so I assume i'll need the same thing.

I can hardly wait till the first time I pull up next to somebody in their new C5 and whoop em all the way to 150, all while hauling bags of cement, a pile of lumber, and some rocks. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
I already have the LS1/T56 out of a 98 camaro, a 98camaro pcm, wiring harness, etc. I just need to buy the sonoma and begin work!
