My LS1 RX7 Build
ok this is my update for this weekend, its a good one.
Started off Friday night took the drivers side header off to clearance the trans tunnel (beat it with a hammer) it did not take much but it had to be done. Then we went to bleed the clutch. I don't see what everyone has had so much trouble with, here is how I did it. I would bleed the master for about 5 mins with some help, then when I got all the air out of it I would bleed it, with my friend keeping the petal to the floor I would let all the air get out of the line I had on the bleeder then he would slowly pull the petal back sucking all the fluid back into the line then I would close the bleeder. After repeating this a few times I just let the slave gravity bread for about 3-5 mins, and went back to get a little air out of the master. All worked great but I remembered that GM said some might have to sit for some time to allow the air to rise to the top so I re bleed it the next morning and just got a little more air and full petal.
Now the fun part I started the wiring. one thing I must say is that it would be nice if the location to the connectors and places to look for wires need a little more detail in them lucky I have a factory manual but for someone with out one good luck. I started with the constant and switch power to the LS1 ECM simple all under the dash on the passenger side, got the damn EL box out of the car to run the check engine light let me let you with the blower motor in the way and the fact that I had two in there because someone replaced one and never removed the old one it was a bitch getting that old connector off. Next I made my way to doing the fuel pump here is the link to my wiring troubles with this. http://www.v8rx7forum.com/v8-rx7-tec...-shooting.html If anyone has a clue let me know but I think I will get back on track next weekend.
Finally we got the tank in with all the lines run. New SB line for the supply and reused the factor hard line for the return I cut out the factory clips to make then able to hold the lager -6 line and it worked great the plastic tray had to be trimmed a little cause it was on the header but it is still there doing its job.
Until next weekend.
In short just throw a realay in there.
You'll need for wires:
Trigger coming from either the computer or just a switched source
12v constant
ground
12v output to pump.
Just make it nice and simple. Not only will it work, but diagnosing probelms gets a lot easier.

DON'T JUST USE A SWITCHED SOURCE FOR THE FUEL PUMP!
Any time you run an electric pump, you need to also run something that'll cut power to the pump when the engine dies. In the event of an accident, you don't want something spraying fuel at 255lph! Trigger the relay off the computer. It's not hard.

Which headers are those?
Seriously, good point, I never thought about that.
