Default sensors question

okay, I am about to put an ls1 into a 1986 300zx and I want to go fuel injected. just wondering, since the 300zx was fuel injected that means it should have the sensors that I need already in it, but can I use those exact same sensors for the ls1 or do I need to purchase new ones for it?

Almost all of the needed sensors will be on the LS1 engine. There won't be any actual sensors from the 300ZX that you will use. You may be able to use the fuel pump or something like that but everything else will need to be from the LS1.
The only sensors not directly on the engine that you will need are the MAF sensor, Inlet Air Temp sensor, and the Oxygen sensors.

You can get them either place but try to get them with the engine when you buy it. The MAF and IAT are located in the air cleaner ductwork and one oxygen sensor is in the exhaust manifold and the other is in the exhaust pipe a few inches down from the manifold.

well me and my buddy are going to put the motor in, but I have a feeling I will be getting a performance shop to do the wiring, the ecu, and the sensors for me.

the cheapest way to do it, as others have said, is to buy a complete engine, with sensors and harness.

If you will have the LS1 harness modified, the wiring will be the easy part. If you don't have a factory LS1 harness, let Speartech build you one. The mounts and headers will be harder than the wiring, then.

I'll just repeat this statement 1 more time because the difference in price is huge!

I saved a few bucks by buying an ls1/t56 from a local buddy of mine who was swapping a built 408 + procharger into his Z28. He had to reuse many of the sensors such as: crank sensor, thottle position, idle air control, map, and maf along with injectors and all the belt driven accessories. Buying the local motor was convenient, and I'm glad I was giving the $$ to a friend, but if you are looking for the least expensive way to go, buy a complete motor.

This is the way to go... try to buy it all together. As far as installing these parts, I think if you can do this engine swap you should be able to install these parts considering they are not located inside the motor.
