I used the f-body pan,the converter was the easiest part of the hole project.I picked up the phone, called The Converter Shop (TCS)928-453-4020 asked for Rusty, told him my motor, trans and what stall i wanted.$450 dollars and three days later I had a badass converter on my front step.

Thanks for the info guys. I thought I'd add if someone was going to use a stock converter. I have been serching, and I think MABY you can use the 4l60e converter in the 700r4 and not use an adaptor. I am not 100% on that one though.

Good job on the swap.

What size DR you got back there? I'm waiting on my 10-Bolt to blow too, but it seems to be doing good so far. Its been sprayed on a few times too.

They are 275/50r15. Ive done a couple launches on the street and I think it will be ok but at the track and a 150 shot is where the problem will be.

I'll be running the same tire next year with a 150 shot also. I have used some 275/40/17's at the track and they worked great, but that was on motor. We'll see how it goes this year.

Are you guys running a heater? If so what did you do for the connection at the fire wall, with my setup the heater core inlet/outlet are right behind the head and valve cover . The only thing I can come up with is getting some 90* pre bent rubber hose like a rad hose but the correct size.I think reg straight hose will kink in that tight of a radius.

You are in luck....I just bought some heater hoses today with pre-formed 90's on the end...I'll get you the part numbers from the hoses tomorrow.

Okay...I got these at Carquest and they are made by Gates
28470......5/8 heater hose....$12.97
28480......3/4 heater hose....$19.48

The 5/8 hose is about a foot short so you will need to splice it...the 3/4 hose is plenty long enough. These hoses have a 90 degree bend molded into them at one end.

ls1-iroc thanks for the part # but i found out a 28471 is a foot or so longer than the 28470 so you dont need to splice. thanks again for the #

Pretty good numbers there. 10.99 should be no problem for ya.

Mine just ran a 7.39@94 today. Bone stock LS1 with a 150 shot. I gotta figure out why the N2O keeps cutting in and out in 1st gear and it might go a little faster. 232/232 cam going in soon also.

Good luck.
