There are ways to increase travel of the rack if that presents as an issue. As long as the rod ends arent going to interfear with the rim hoop, we can extend the arm on the steering knuckle to get more leverage, more movement in degrees per inch of travel. We have to be sure to keep the same height across the travel also or bump steer will become an issue, but with the placement we are attempting, I dont think it will be an issue.
Right now, the Mustang II rack from the shock front end looks good because of the long input shaft. We may have to see if the short shaft from a strut feels better in the end. Crispy ordered the Flaming river kit today, should be here by Thursday and ready for photos Friday night. I'll try to post something by this weekend so y'all can see the kids work.... Chris
P.S. Have I told you guys how much the kid HATES that my

has been his official tow truck lately? At least until he gets his Dura-smack fixed (again)

I saw a nice idea on line today.... Flaming River makes a rack that has a bracket that hooks to the inner tie rod mounts and then crosses the front of the rack. They use it to add R+P to Chevelles and GTO's. The same idea would allow a wider rack to be used when you have a short throw because the inner ties could be mounted closer together. I may try something like that later if the set up we have wount fit.... Chris

Sorry all, I didn't get a chance to get pics of the rack. The kid has been working on things and it's going well so far. I had some trouble with my lower back that put me down for most of the weekend, but I should be up and at'em during the week. I'll get pics posted soon... Chris
