Got more pics coming - As far as the motor goes:
- Dropped Callies Crank into place, ARP main studs are torqued 3x
- Installed:
** Diamond Pistons , ARP rod bolts are torqued 3x
** .060 Oil Restricters
** Wheel 2 Wheel Cam is in, degreed - as far as I can tell its within 1/2 of a degree
** Soaked the Crower Solid Lifters and dropped them in
** Timing chain(s) with tensioner
** Oil pump centered and installed
- Chased/Cleaned:
** Head stud holes
** Deck
- Ream'd out the Cometic head gasket holes for the larger studs
Installed:
** O-ring last night on both sides of the motor
** All (46) Head studs
** Copper sprayed driver side head gasket
** Water plugs

Got the driver side head on and all the bolts are torqued to either 20/15 ft-lbs, hopefully tomorrow I can mock up the valvetrain on one side to get the correct pushrod lengths so the machine shop can make them this week before the holiday crunch.

I have a lot of pics but don't have time to put them up tonight. Basically I got the mini tub started on the passenger side and the pushrods measured. I ordered some smith brothers 8.700 .170 wall custom pushrods to finish up the engine. Started looking at the lifters tonight and may have found a problem with the link bar but I won't know for sure until this weekend.

I've got alot of pics but no time to throw them all up, here are just a couple

Rough cutting for the mini-tub

Outside view of rough cutting

Mini Tub itself, pittsburg seam, mild steel

Lets say ample clearance.

Mockup for pushrods: 8.700 intake and exhaust

Double roller, LS2 dampner, torrington bearing

1/2" head studs, standard sized additional holes

Cobra body pieces finally arrived painted black

Crower solid lifters, they are the lightest lifters I could find excluding the Jesel.

Mini tub is done, we've got 17" of room or so for the rear tires. I still need to sand the frame rails with a flap wheel and paint.

Yes, I've done everything to date except for the machine work on the block. My dad is going to do the bodywork to save time while I assemble the powertrain. I'll be spraying the car in a professional back draft style paint booth.
