Are you missing anything else?? Joseph said you needed the clamp and flange for the downpipe side as well.

Just a quick update, won't have any pics for a couple of days(camera was stolen down in Georgia).

1) Got the kirkey seats installed and fit great
2) Finished cleaning out the stuff behind the dash
3) Completed the X bars behind the cage used an inexpensive notcher from harbor freight and worked like a champ
4) Mounted skinny kid rear spoiler
5) Trimmed rear bumper for chute mount
6) Ordered the 25.5 cage conversion, should be here in 2 weeks.

Anyone have an easy method for cleaning out the rest of the insulation that is glued to the car? Pics will shortly follow.

Joseph,
Hey first off thanks for all the help you guys have been over @ Texas Speed, can't say enough about you guys. Holcomb Motorsports sells aluminum seat mounts for the mustang, if you would like some pics I'd be more than happy to snap some.

Your welcome on the help.

I just found them on their website. I'll be ordering up a set, I want to switch between street seats and race seats easily and those look like something that will make it easier. Thanks for the info.

That 9" looks like it fit too. I've been contemplating a 9" ever since you bought yours, I would have about $700 in upgrading my 8.8", or could buy a 9" for a few hundred more and never worry again. Although your car definatly needs a 9", I don't necessarily "need" one yet.

I need to redo a couple of things, the chute mount is short by about 5-6 inches and we need to make a brace for the seats. Anyone have a recommendation on a tubing bender for 1 5/8" chromoly?

Started mocking up the motor mounts, cut the factory ones off and started making custom chromoly motor mounts. Everything is tack welded, just need to cap the risers and bead the engine plates.

Removed factory mounts, LS1 & powerglide are bolted up, front is sitting on a 3/8" spacer on the steering rack, rear is on a jack with height and side to side set. 4" pipe for reference.

Notched K member mounts

should be enough room for a 5" downpipe...

No real reason, still looking at the idea actually. Looking for whatever gives me the most room.

I'm switching over to motor plates so these motor mounts will be for sale if anyone needs them.
