Muffler advice I have Edelbrock SDTs on my 62 vette conversion. No Cats, long tube headers.
Its a bit loud for my tastes. Any suggestions ie different muffler, add a muffler, put on Cats, etc. I prefer a more stock sound. Thanks

I've always been a fan of Flowmaster. If you go to their website, there is a section where they have sound clips of all the mufflers they sell. They have a muffler called the super 40 series, I have one on my 01 dodge ram. It has some kind of new pattented next generation delta flow which cuts down on interior resonance so its quieter inside the car. The outside sound level is not changed. The regular 40 series is the same muffler just without the delta flow so it will be louder inside. They have a list of inlet/outlet sizes and offsets so you should have no problem finding one to work. The one I have has a single inlet and dual outlet but they have single inlet and single outlet as well. I'm not familiar with the corvette exhaust system. I have had my fun with open pipes, Cherry Bomb class packs, turbo mufflers, Flow Pro, and Worlcok Racing Mufflers. Flow Master always gives me a sound level and tone that I am happy with. Chech out their site, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
If you are looking for "stock" sounding, you'll need something like Flowmaster Series 70 Bigblock 2, 50 series Bigblock, or 50 series SUV, Flow great, very quiet, very deep. But, they are quiet.
