Default Nissan 240sx speedo

In the final stages of a LS1 S14 swap. Trying to make the speedo work.
I've got the Dakota digital signal conversion box that Hinson sells. Called them 3 times, no directions, promised to email.......
The Dakota box has instructions to hook up a single signal wire.
The Nissan S14 has 2 wires.
I searched couldn't find it.
Surely someone here has done it already?
Thanks

He can only use it if its 96 or newer. My speedo doesnt work either but I'm sure the DD will work. My tach work but jumps just a tad bit coming from 800RPM. Odd.

he can use that scaner on any ls1. no matter if its in a model-T. scan goes to the engine pc. nothing to do with the car. and ls1's are 98 and up (there is a 97 too i think, cant remember).

and the DD converter is $80. this gives you some more gauges for $170. and you cant ask for a easier install. plug it up to the obdII plug and done. some things will not work im sure like the fuel read outs. due to sensors in the gas tank not being there.
some other gauge read outs...
* Fuel Economy
* Fuel Rate
* Battery Voltage
* Coolant Temperature
* Intake Air Temperature
* Engine Speed (RPM)
* Vehicle speed (MPH)
* Manifold Pressure (not available on some vehicles)
* Engine Load
* Throttle Position
* Ignition Timing
* Open/Closed Loop

Thanks for the info. I've got eveything working except the speedo.
Don't want to add more gauges or spend more. Just want to get what I've got, which is supposed to work, working.
Thanks

its nice but the display is to small for me. btw it doesnt really matter if the car is 96 or newer. you can wire the obd2 port off the ls1 harness, atleast thats what i did and my s14 is a 95.

More proof the guy in the post above never sleeps. I actually registered so I could laugh at his post. We were able to get the speedo kinda working. Need to finish tying up the wires and see how it goes. PM me or jsworkstd if you are interested in instructions once we can confirm it works.

power, tap into any ignition power
vss in= get it from the ecu vss output to tach
signal ground, just ground to the chassis
output= goes into the f3 plug

I forgot what jumpers need to be changed.

let me go look at it again. only thing that might be different is i might have it in the other ground. since there's 2 in the dakota sgi-5 box.

okay, i have it in output 1 right now. and it still blinks green the whole time. The ls1 is 4000ppm coming from the ecu. what is the 240s speedo ppm? i did the preset where is does 2x the 4000ppm signal. i thought the 240 was 8000ppm i guess not though since it doesn't work. i called dakota and they weren't much help just said use output one and program it. what did u guys do to set it up?
