Hey 1dirtyZ, you ever figure this out? As you know I'm working on the same thing right now, I actually just figured out the sensor goes in the valley cover. I was wondering what that thing on the valley cover was for. Did you figure out what you needed to get the ls1 sensor in there?

This is the same sensor that is used in the LS1, LS2, LQ4 and more. 3 wired oil pressure switch. It should just screw in.

Is there a 1 wire switch that would fit in there for an idiot light?

My LS1 has a one wire connector, assume it just gives a ground for an indicator light.

I am pretty sure the stock one is variable resistance to run a gauge.

Autometer has sensors for that and adapters to fit the M16 thread.

Or if you need to keep the stock LS1/LS2 sensor and add a 1/8"NPT gauge sender....use this T piece.

Part No TP12 on this site:
http://www.speedograph-richfield.com...ipe_lines.html

Male (A) M16 x 1.5

FEMALE (B) M16 x 1.5

90 DEGREE TAKE OFF 1/8” x 27 NPT

i DID NOT use the orange wire, thats the lead for the fuel pump.
it was either the brown or grey wire.
