i just put the 36 inch lokar cable on mine. i had to cut about 4 or 5 inches off of it to make it look good. it was an easy setup though. took me all of about 20 min. to take the old stuff out, twist the throttle pedal, and setup the new stuff.

This is an LQ9 in a hybrid frame (TJ Suspension / CJ Body Mounts)

The headers are from Advance Adapters (I don't have pix of the headers after I added the O2 bungs and flanges, but they fit perfectly. They're on their way to Jet-Hot for coating.)

Great build. We finished our LS1/4L60e swap into my 68 commando earlier this year. Twisted the drive shaft first time out- little more power then we were used to! Watch where you run the shifter cable. Ran ours too close to the exhaust and lost it half way through the Rubicon. It's not much fun getting underneath the vehicle in the dark on the boulders to find a gear. Original cable came with the B&M shifter. We replaced it with the upgraded cable and sleeved it. Haven't had any problems since. Still having trouble getting full throttle from my jeep pedal, but really don't need it.

It's actually the output shaft, and I believe he did his himself, as did I. It's really not that hard, just a little time consuming - and messy We both used the DVD tear down which made it pretty easy.

just the pliers for C-clips (big ones) once you take out a couple c-clips everthing just falls out. i actually didnt do the shaft part myself, i had a transmission place do it for $50 (biggest mistake ever), they then told me all this crap was wrong with it and said $2000 to fix it. i told them to put it back together, this is when i bought that 4l60e DVD, rebuilt it myself(because only god knows what they did to it). I'll keep that in mind TX. I've got a deal pending right now on an LS1 with the 4l60e. Includes computer and all accessories. I figure I'll take the better part of summer getting pieces together, and bang it out this winter.

Get ready for a shat-load of PM's from me buddy! hehe

a/c needs some customizing, i did it tho

powersteering was pretty easy. you can use the return line that goes to the jeeps steering box as is, it will connect to the resevoir of the ls1 power steering pump

the high-pressure line you need to have the stock jeep line and then a line that came off a camaro/ta/gto (basicly for the side that connects to the pwr steering pump) see how long you need the hose to travel, cut the steering box end off the ls1 pwr steering lpump line and cut off the pwr steering connector that use to go to the jeeps pwr steering

takes the lines to a hydrolic shop and have them connected. soo now you have the jeeps line that connects to the steering box- and that is now connected to the line that screws into the pwr steering pump

can you elaborate on the A/C customization? pics?

I'm going to pickup my LS1 in two weeks from a wrecked fbody, and I want to make sure I get all the parts I will need, I'd hate to have to drive 2hrs back to get a vital component, it's a buddy of mine so he's not nickle and dime'ing me for the parts
