tirefryin_s10 - You mentioned running solid motor mounts, does it transfer vibration into the car? Is the motor stock? I'm getting really excited about putting my 6.0L in the car. Now that i hear you used the stock k-member and truck pan i'm feeling more like it will be an easy swap.

we are running soild mounts in the fairmont and the truck pan. the thing runs and drives great. we do have moderate vibration above 120mph that we have never tried to figure out. it might be the solid mounts but it might be something else too.

if i didn't know it had solid mounts i wouldn't be able to tell by driving it.

damn, i glad i found this thread. i'm never one to fall into the "it won't work" rut, but i found myself taking what people have said to seriously and started gathering parts i may not need. No biggy as eBay will help me unload what i don't use. Parish8, i took your advice and i'm going with the MSD 6LS controller. The engine actually looked wrong without the coils on the valvecovers and the ford coils are just crap!

Do you have pictures of how the ex is routed on the PS side after the turbo?

MPH in the 1/4 is sick.

no good pictures... the downpipe comes down off the turbo and runs straight across behind the rad to in front of the drivers tire where it dumps . the mph on the video as well as the time were no where near the best ... the car did 11.0 @ 134.5 the pass right after that one ...

any trouble fitting the TH400 in there? I'm thinking of using a 4L80E behind my 6.0L but wasn't sure of tranny tunnel clearance

my previous notch had a tall deck sbc & th400 combo and that took cutting & welding of the trans tunnel to get it in. an ls1 however is not as tall, and sits lower in the bay so tirefryin...(Notch) will have to answer that.
