Thanks for the reply guys the car weighed 2900 lbs without me and with a 1/2 tank of fuel , that was with the stock K member front end etc and an Iron block motor and heavy turbo kit up front .
The car uses a TCI 3500-3800 converter meant for a th350/400 behind a LSX motor.
I should have some more progress to report after the weekend.

I hoping for around 2600-2700 when I'm done. It weighed 2815 without me before when it had a 306 sbf in it. Anything not needed will go in the trash..
I'm still undecided on my convertor. Will depend on how much I plan to spray. probably somewhere in the 3800-4000 area..

i'm using a UPR 5.0 k member as well. I'm also using a camaro oil pan that i notched around the rack area so the motor would sit low as possible to make room for the 4L80. Here are some pics of my progress so far. Sorry to hi-jack your thread tirefryr

I have no idea how the truck pan works with a tubular K but I do know it clears just fine iwht a stock K member , No it never hit the ground and the car was quite low in the front end , Here is a link to a post I made with pics of ground clearance:

I have seen the AJE stuff and personally think its not very good, I built the mounts to goto the stock K member and I will build the mounts to goto the UPR tubular K member as well.

just for some added info. I used 4.6 mustang motor mounts and bolted a flat plate to the engineto adapt the mount to the engine block. Then the single stud fell right into the k-member slot. you can see them in my hi-jack pics
