Default Do 97 LT1 gauges work with a 2000 LS1?

I'm transplanting a 2000 LS1 into my 94 Camaro. The gauge cluster in it is from a 97 Camaro. Will it work with the LS1? Most worried about the tach, oil pressure and eng temp gauge.

Wasn't sure if it would work or if I had to get a 99-02 gauge cluster.

I know that it can be made to work. If you go with a speartech harness it will be a direct plug in. If you are doing your own harness I know you can also make it work, you will have to add on the temp and oil pressure senders from your old motor, and then have whoever is tuning your computer change the tachometer output (LS1 has a 2 pulse per rev output and a LT1 has a 4 pulse per rev output) you can change the tach output with EFI Live 7 and I believe also with HPTuners, or you can get an adapter box from dakota digital.

So it's just easier to install a 99-02 cluster. I assume the LT1 fuel sender will work with the later model cluster.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I'm using a 95 no options car for the body and a 96 and 97 LT1 cars for parts. 97 car having an awesome 30th anniversery interior, so I'll do that this weekend right after I get my sub frame connectors welded in.

I don`t personally have hands on experience in this area, but I think it is still easier to make the LT1 cluster work. The LT1 fuel sender will not work with an LS1 cluster as the LT1 sender is 0-90 ohms and the LS1 sender is 40-240? Plus I believe that if you use the LS1 cluster you would also have to change the dash wiring over to LS1 wiring and at that point I don`t know how much of the wiring would need to be changed, I don`t know if the LT1 fusebox/interior wiring would plug into LS1 dash wiring.

Crap... This swap gets more difficult every day. I've already swaped the interior to a 97+ so the 99+ cluster is a drop in.

I'll be in the same boat soon....I do know a guy who is a wiring expert that worked for GM in the 4th gen days and helped with a LS1 powered 97 prototype car (only 3 ever existed) and he ended up with one but it had no motor. Ill ask him and post whatever he recalls...

Was looking in the Helms manual last night. Looks like it would be a night mare to make the LS1 cluster work. All the wiring to the cluster is different. I've heard the 98 cars used the older electrical set-up. Would a 98 cluster be easier to make work.
