What lt1 body would be better to put a ls1 in?

Default What lt1 body would be better to put a ls1 in?

I have a ls1 motor that has 38k to 40k miles on it and i cant afford a ls1 right now. but i like the lt1 body look better so i was just wondering what year would be best for this motor. any info would help

Try to find a 95 that has the OBDII connector port..96 and up have different rules when it comes to emissions testing. I am converting my 95 to a 402 LS2, I got lucky and got the OBDII connector and wiring in mine, so my swap is real easy.

so it would be better if i got a 95 and under. will the 6speed from a lt1 fit the motor or will i have to buy a 6speed from a ls1?any welding that i have to do?

the bellhousein is diff ls1 t56 vs. the lt1 t56

what all did you changed on the wireing harness to get it working with LS2
