I paid $800 for a complete 1999 z71. It was rolled over. but of course I bought it private out of someone's yard. I even crunk it up and drove it on the trailer.

Id say $1500 plus would be the norm from a yard. Private sellers depend on if they know what they have or not.

those prices seem reasonable. Theyd make more power than any gen 1 crate motor.

Is it difficult to keep the fuel injection? The carb intakes look interesting.

honestly go to performancetrucks.net (link at top of the page) and put a WTB ad out, you'll be surprised how cheap you can get a 4.8 or 5.3, 6.0's are a bit more though

yeah, I bet you could get a 4.8L for less than $500.

My uncle has a '39 chevy. I wanna talk him into swapping the small block for gen 3 motor. He would do it if cheap enough.
