Default ls6 vs ls2-7 front accessory interchange?

I was looking in the performance parts book and they offer complete front accessory kits for a touch over 700.00. They listed one kit as fitting ls1 and six and the other fitting ls2/7. The part numbers are 19155066 and 19155067 does anyone know what the differences are between the two sets of accessories. Is the ls2 vette stuff better to go with for clearance. Any help would be appreciated.

the LS1 accessories are longer than the corvette accessories, about 3/4" if i remember correctly

LS2/6/7 should all be the same

not sure why they say LS1 and LS6 are the same..?

Perfect thanks a lot that parts list is what I was looking for to verify that those are vette accessories and not some other platform. Appreciate it. I guess the ls2 stuff is what I will go with. Now if I can just find a balancer.

They're out there.....I bought one off of CorvetteForum from somebody who went to an underdrive on a fresh crate motor before stabbing it in. But they are few and far between.

And it seems most salvage yards aren't interested in pulling it off the motor, preferring to sell the 'vette motor complete, because I asked quite a number.

You should be able to use the C5 balancer. I had all the C5 accessories including water pump but have switched to the C6 water pump and my tensioner went on fine. And the belt went on like it was supposed to be there. I would go with the LS2 stuff for the added clearance from the water pump.

I was doing some research on this.

I don't know from personal experience but found out that C5 guys have been able to put the LS2 and 7 in their cars and re-use the C5 accessories.

Here is what I do know. The LS2 Vette a/c compressor is different with ports coming off the side instead of the back. The LS2 uses only a tensioner pulley where the LS1 uses a tensioner and idler pulley.

The balancers are the same.

The C5 stuff is cheaper

Well I found out the kit does not come with the water pump so it looks like I will go the c5 accessory route with an ls2 water pump.
