More 8100 Info Please.
This motor will be installed in a '74 Vette so the steering and suspension is a concern.
Will any of the other big block oil pans fit? I know some pans from the ZZ502 and ZZ572 fit in the C3 Corvette and I have seen several of the Mark V and Mark VI 7.4L 7400 454 in C3s as well. That would lead me to believe that some of the Vortec big block oil pans work in C3s and I just need to know which if not all would fit on an 8100.
I'm also wondering about brackets. Minimalistic is best. No A/C, and no smog. Just alternator, power steering, water, tension, and idle will be needed. The upper A-arms cause the most problems. I good reference is that a serpentine bracket kit from a '92 Camaro will fit just fine so long as the smog delete pulley and bracket are turned backwards. Not having anything there would be a plus.
Info is great guys and you all seem to have a lot of it.

I emailed their tech department so thanks fior the suggestion.
Believe it or not there does not seem to be that much that's easily found without going through obscure sites that seem to have no connection to the project at hand.

Yeah those were some of the first places I looked when I got going on this project. I appreciate the help.
Heads are still the canted (porcupine valves arrangement) but redesigned.
Not trying to rain on the parade at all, just curious.

Easy. I found a complete take out 8100 for almost nothing compared to what a 502 would cost.
It was a budget build project. Turned out the budget called for cuts, and a Vortec 350 was chosen for the build.
