Ls1 into a 97 S10,Need To know a few things Well i may be selling my car here soon and have always wanted to do this swap.But it seems i never can get a clear sign on what all i will need to do this.Everyone has their on oppinon.Im just Curious if i buy a 99 ls1 engine that comes with the wiring harnes and pcm out of a trans am camaro etc.what else will i need and what will i have to do that may be out of the ordinary .Just looking for any input you guys can give me IF all goes well i may start this swap next month of so .Just looking for pointers guys

Yeah nickle and dime ya to death. If you plan it all out...main things...WIRING...FUEL...EXHAUST...intake and coolant hoses. You will have to trim some of the crossmember....depends on the pan you use to where and how much. If you use an A4...and your truck is an auto already...its not so bad...will not take much to hook up the shifter. If you need anything...look in the link above...or ask. people like BlackX, myself, 01WS6/tamu and MANY others have answered these questions over and over. Thats why we always say refer to the S10 posts...tells you EVERYTHING...just need to read alot.

Mines a 96 4x4 Blazer now 4x2 . Hardest part so far was the wiring and getting ac hoses that fit. 2005 5.3 with all truck accessories.Next time would probably have harness made to save time and clean up engine compartment. Good luck with yours.
