As of for the hoses, I don't recall what the upper Rad hose is from but the bottom one is just a flexhose since we couldn't find any that would fit it.

You are falling on your face in high gear because your converter is to loose on top end.You need to get in tighted up where you can foot brake it towards 2700 or go with a steeper gear.

Got Christine to the track tonight, but I was only able to get one run in due to how many people were at KCIR last night and the fact that they had to clean up 3 or 4 oil spills.
Without stalling it up, and just leaving off the footbrake it managed to knock down a 13.25 @ 100 mph with her Stock 98 LS1.

I' ve been wanting to build something like that! It' s a great sleeper, but, I still always want to do more that what I really need! I would shave the mouldings off, maybe switch to a more flush-mount door handle, shoot it black and delete the chrome bumpers. I might also shoot it white and leave the chrome bumpers. No matter where you might go with it from this point, it' s still a cool *** ride!

I love the 2-doors. I came across a nearly mint 78 a few years back, and if i didn't already have a chevelle parts car on the trailer, i would be doing the same swap you did right about now. Can't wait to see it with some stock hubcaps, it'll look great. Skip the paint, get the hubcaps!
P.S - What does that thing weigh??

Thanks for the compliment Brian !
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it !
Thank you, and everyone for accepting Christine the way you all have !
I know these cars don't appeal to everyone but for those that do like them it gives me even that much more satisfaction in owning Christine.
Funny think you mention the hubcaps, I got a promotion at work and had to go in early so I missed out on a set of 4 hard to find 1978 Caprice hubcaps for only $13. Oh well, I will find another reasonably cheap pair again sometime I'm sure.
P.S. For being a big steel land yatch Christine is actually pretty light. She weighed in at only 3,660 w/o me or 3,840 with me.

If we can accept a Civic with a LS1 and a Vette chassis under it or a Mustang with a LSx in it, we can accept anything. At least all teh part in your car were from the same manufacturer.

I know what you mean. If I had the spare cash, and the room, the burgundy one would be at my house undergoing a $350 LSx 5.3 liter.
