ls1 into 68 camaro

ls1 into 68 camaro I know its been done but thought I would share some progress pics. I have to thank you guys for all of the info on this project. I do alot of searching on this forum for info and it helps a ton. Im changing out the whole engine/trans/subframe and rear axle/leafs. The car currently has a zz4 350 w/ fast burns, hot cam, Msd, 150 shot backed by a manual valve-body th-350 and a 10 bolt rear with eaton posi. Im going to install this gear into a 67 coupe for my wife. Going into my 68 is a Total Cost Involved front subframe, Air-ride shockwaves all around, willwoods, hydraboost, A 2002 LS1/T-56 and a currie 9" with a 4 link rear.
Since the car is done my friends think I am nuts but I have alot of history with this car. I built it in 2000 than sold it...only to re-buy it 2 years later. Its like one of my kids. Anyhow I dont post much but thought I would share.

i'd like to see more especially when its installed, also keep me posted on wiring mods i'm about convert my 96 camaro from a factory 3.8 into an LS1 using a truck motor for the iron block (its more durable). very impressive what you have though.

Its been a while since I have updated...here are a few more pics of the install. I smoothed the firewall, shot the bottom of the car with raptor liner, welded up all the seams in the car, deleted the door and trunk locks etc. I cut and enlarged the radiator opening to allow more airflow. Its been a bit of a snow-ball effect.

A few more pics of the rear setup
Its an Total Cost involved rear 4-link. I painted the Sub-frame, cross member, rear housing and some misc other parts body color to create some contrast. Color sanding and polishing took more time than installing....but I like the detail and the way it came out.
Last photo is bottom of engine. Hooker longtubes may be replaced with stainless headers....not sure yet.
