my truck popped a fuse the other night, so of course the first thing i do is check my wiring harness by pulling it out and unwrapping it! after that was clean, i decided to check inside the pcm for any signs of a problem...

i talked to the guy i bought the pcm from and he had no idea either how it could have happened. theres nothing on the connector side that could have pushed it in. lastly, i drove over 5000km since i had it unplugged... only way it could have moved was due to vibration!
those two lines are battery power and TPS ground, so it blew the fuse right away... it might still be a good pcm

you can get a pcm from most gm late model vehicle that has the same basic pinout numbers and style of comp, and have it reprogrammed with a different vin to have your engine/trans combo folders pop up for reprogramming. I had a 5.3/4l60e comp and had a new vin flashed in to change it to a 6.0/4l80e when I worked on a swap several years ago.
