Default Fuel Pressure Issue

I am currently putting an LS1 into an 1970 442. The engine is out of a 2001 z28 with a t56 stick. The car is running a painless LS1 conversion wiring harness, a complete braided fuel lines, S&P single feed system and an AEI-11106 external pump pulling fuel from a sumped fuel cell. When the tank is full fuel runs right out to the last possible point in the system.

However, no fuel is getting to the rails. The relay comes on, primes the pump and turns off 5 seconds after it comes on. The computer turns on correctly, the car has spark and the correct cranking power. I cannot figure it out. Im thinking possibly the diaphram on the rail but it was running when pulled out just fine.

I know I am new but help would be greatly appreciated. Please if you need any more info please just ask.

no fuel at ALL or no pressurized fuel?

what are you doing about the fuel return? did you run the corvette filter with the internal regulator?

if the line is gravity feed it pours out like crazy, i am using the corvette filter regulator return filter. after more testing gravity feeding and turning the pump on with a hot to a battery directly it still wont pump. the pump is wired and plumbed correctly. four hundred dollar pump is freakin worthless im thinking.

If the pump will not turn on as in a bench test or hot wiring it... Return the pump from who ever you got it from.

Are you sure you have the Vette filter/Regulator feel and return line correct. I know I once swap them and I found out by not having any pressure to the fuel rail (I had a gauge on the rail).

Try hooking a short piece of line to the output on the pump and run it into a gas can or plastic jug. Turn the switch on and see if it pumps that way. If it does, the restriction is somewhere else.

I had my vette filter feed line and return line backwards. I was not getting any fuel to the rail. Once I switched those two she fired right up. It may have been a good thing because when the motor was turning over oil was getting to the top of the motor. Good luck

Hmmm.. as I thought.. Same mistake that I did.. LOL.. oh well.. we all learn from mistakes.. I guess your engine was checked for the oil pressure and primed now.

ITS ALIVEm and running like a champ. Gotta get all my guages hooked up, but its running great. bad fuel filter was it.
