Yes that is a option, but the location is the same as stock so using stock brackets would be much cheaper not to mention it does not fix the steering box clearance problem.

The fine print says this:

Note: this kit is designed to be used with an electric water pump and no power steering or air conditioning.

Nah nothing much. Fuel pump is mounted and I think he ordered all the line and fittings so we can start on that soon. Maybe in couple more months or less and we can fire it up.

It uses a Cs style alternator that is smaller than the original unit and not the stock alternator. Did you sell that malibu?

Got a couple new pics. Nothing major, but the fuel system is done and the ignition box & harness is on.

Im pretty sure that is Russell line. Its made of nylon and is MUCH easier to work with than the stainless stuff.

If that setup went far enough back to use the Corvette balancer, I'd buy that kit That's exactly the type of setup I need to run the turbo in my Typhoon LSx swap.

The alternator is already flush with the head in this application I can't move it back any further..... Are you sure you could not make the f-body unit work?
Thanks

Well the F-body isn't as close in to the block as the vette's, so it would interfere with the e-fan setup. I could move the radiator forward, but I want to run A/C and a FMIC for my turbo setup, so that would run into that. I probably will just go with an S&P setup or the Newman brackets, but that would put my turbo rather far out from the motor, which would cause me to have to fab a bracket anyway to support the turbo to prevent the header from cracking.

Here's a pic of a fellow SyTy owner with a turbo LSx motor, and you can see his turbo is pretty far out in the fender:

I dunno, I may fab up a bracket on my own. I have access to a laser cutter and he would only charge me the time and materials, which would come out to be like $50 total for the bracket. I just need to figure out if anyone else offers an alternative before I put in the time mapping it out in CAD

It's hard doing this when few others have before.
