Default Another LS1 240SX Conversion begins....

Well sort of....

I have yet to pick out the chassis however I have begun gathering parts for an upcoming 240sx LS1 setup

Picked up this gem a few weekends ago...

The motor came with a few extra goodies, heres the details

2000 TA LS1 w/50k miles
Patriot P/P Stage 2 Heads
Comp 231/237 .589 .595 112lsa Cam
SVO 30# Injectors
SLP 85mm MAF

Engine was making 400/380 on a stalled A4 setup, I believe this was also on the ls1 intake.....but I am not for sure

Just yesterday this beauty was delivered...

2006 GTO Trans, 8k miles

Next week I will be picking up a donor LS1 that has most of the accessories I need to complete the one thats currently in my garage, including valve covers, valley cover, coil packs & brackets, etc.

As far as teh suspension goes on the 240, I have a COMPLETE 300ZX TT at my disposal so depending on what will swap over I plan on doing the 5-lug conversion and running the 300ZX brakes and possibly the R200 or Q45 rear end.

I am still on the lookout for a starter, wiring harness, clutch/flywheel setup, PCM, and some other odds and ends. If anyone has that stuff let me know!

Stay tuned

Recommend changing that oil pump right now. Also 400 on that small of a cam is pretty impressive.

Me too. But then again 400 on a cam and patriots isn't that impressive.

Alrighty guys, the chassis is here!

After debating back and fourth, I decide on spending the extra money and coming up with something a little nicer. I searched for about a week before finding this guy a few hours east of me. Went on saturday, picked it up for $2300.....needs some work

1995 240SX
DOHC KA24
Auto
200k miles

New JDM Kouki Tails
New NUR Spec R exhaust
Tokico Shocks

The plan is to do the 5 lug and Z32 brake swap right away, and just DD the car to get all the suspension stuff ironed out.

Sounds like you have the common rear end bushing problems.

Are you referring to the 2 bushings that sit on the rear end facing towards the rear of the car?
