I think I am going to port the heads and get a super victor for it and real cam. I also want to up the compression, it is only 10.5:1
Uhh...is this pic a representation of what you want your motor to look like? Or is this your actual motor? I can almost swear that this is the same motor/pic that was in one of my Chevyhighperformance Magazines in mid 2007...How do i know? Because it was my screen saver for months, once the article/pics were available online...lol. I think it was the ls 402 vs. 1st gen sbc 406 article "Old School Meets New".

Either way, that was a pretty sick combo...if that is your motor or the motor you plan on replicating, that lil mustang should run pretty good!!! Goodluck bro!

No, between work and the new baby and my wife wanting new carpet, I have little time left for the car.

the baby definitely put a kybash on having this thing running already, but I wouldn't chane it for the world

Thanks,

I think with the new heads and super victor and hpcarb and of course, Kooks headers, it will look even better

now if I can get an exact list of parts to put a TKO600 in my car (without a hydraulic clutch), I will be set

if you up the compression too much your going to be limiting yourself to race gas...just a thought.

Very nice car. Should be very quick. What is the backspacing on those rear trakstars?

DUDE... your going to run a manual... GOOD LUCK !!

I would would put a TH350 or TH400 behind it with a 4000 stall...

it would be easier for you to get that LOW 9 pass.

But some people like to bang the gears...

GOOD LUCK
NICE BUILD...
Congrats on BABY !!

The backspacing on my rear rims are 6" on a 10" wheel.

TH350 or TH400 it is. I am leaning towards the 400, since I don't want feel like repairing a transmission each season.

As far as the compression, I am going to be strictly drag racing this car, no street use. I want it to be around 14:1, not 11:1.

The longer this thing takes to build, the more **** I keep changing.. Amazingg how life gets in the way when you are all ready to play.

So the engine is now 15:1 compression, it has TFS 235's now, I just got my Super Victor from Jegs, the other day. I bought the Comp Engineering motor and mid plate, which should be here next week. My pistons should be ready next week. I also purchased a Jerico DR4 and it came with an Advanced Clutch, fully adjustable

This pic is with the regular victor jr on it...

Tax return is coming and when the engine is complete, I will get the headers made up. Once the engine is sitting at home and we weld in the motor plate, I will take some newer pics.

I wish I had the time and money that Phil has...
